Our region - Provence

An exceptional setting…..

Pictorial and picturesque, Provence enjoys a favourable climate due to the proximity of the Mediterranean.
Loved by painters such as Cézanne, Van Gogh, Picasso and Chagall, used as the setting in stories narrated by Pagnol, Giono and Raimu, Provence continues to leave its mark for its beauty, scenery, and generous nature.
Its relaxing pace of life, its gastronomy, its scent of pine and lavender and the sing-song accent of its inhabitants make this a much sought after area for tourism and living.
To come and stay in Provence is to choose an ‘art de vivre’

A witness to Lorgues past riches are its beautiful, ancient walls, bordering the straight alleyways and courtyards shaded by plane trees, its belfry, and its imposing 15th century collegiate Sainte-Martin.

Lorgues is renowned for its typical regional cuisine, its important weekly market, its olive oil, honey, truffles and its Côtes de Provence AOC wines, exported worldwide.

COGOLIN

At the heart of the Gulf of St Tropez, Cogolin is a picturesque village built on the final slopes of the Maures massif. Its old paved centre, its flowery squares, its stone, vaulted passages, and a town centre completely renovated make it an authentic Provencal village with a fine year round climate. Renown throughout the world for its original handicrafts, Cogolin is surrounded by countryside, well known vineyards (AOC Côtes de Provence) and peaceful forests of oak, pine and ash. It is one of the few communes of the Var department which stretches all the way from the highlands to the rivers of the Mediterranean.
